How To Encourage Comments on your Blog Posts

These days, many internet marketers turn to blogging to advertise their business.   It is worth noting that blogging yields a positive result because a lot of people do spend their time reading blogs and some of them also manage their own blogs.

To make the best from blogging, one of the effective ways is to encourage your readers to get involved by leaving comments.  Below are online marketing tips about encouraging readers to react or leave comments on your posts:

Write with a personal tone. To invite your visitors to post their own comments, write in a conversational style, as if you’re actually speaking before a person or a group of people.  A personalized approach when addressing your readers will make them feel that they are free to share their own opinions about what you have posted.

Ask your readers to leave a comment. With each post, request your visitors to share a comment.  Many people would happily do so if you directly ask   them to.  For example, statements like “Please, leave your comment on this post,” or “Feel free to share your personal views about this post.”  It may also be a question such as “Do you have anything to add to this topic?  Your comments are greatly appreciated”.

Ask a survey question.
You can even include a polling question at the conclusion of your article.  For instance, if you wrote about a particular device or product, you can check with your audience if they have tried using the product you have discussed.  You might ask what brand they use and would recommend?  Or you may also ask your readers whether they agree or disagree with your post.

Blog about hot topics. People like to read about hot topics, like the current news, gossip or remarkable experiences.  If your post has grabbed their interest, your readers will be encouraged to share their own opinions and leave a comment.

Offer freebies or giveaways. You can offer freebies for the reader who makes the most comments for the month, or for the one with the best  response or.  Everyone wants to win something and undoubtedly, offering giveaways would motivate your visitors to share their thoughts.

Respond to your reader’s comments.
See to it that you too, respond to each of your commenters.  Remember to thank them for taking the time to comment.  This will encourage audience participation and is a great way to show your visitors that you appreciate their efforts for commenting.

Add a “get notified” or “alert me” link. Provide an option where a reader can subscribe to your comment page so they can be notified when a response to their comment has been posted.  Hence, your readers can follow the thread and join in the conversation.
